Soybeans are on the rise with meal leading the charge, up 4 to 5 cents. Cash bean prices are at $9.71 1/4. Soybean meal futures are up $2.80 to $6.60, while soy oil futures are down 24 to 26 points.
Export Sales estimates predict old crop bean sales between 300,000 MT reductions to 300,000 MT sales, and new crop sales between 0.4 to 1 MMT. Soybean meal sales are expected to range from a 50,000 MT reduction to 450,000 MT in sales, with bean oil net cancellations of 10,000 to 15,000 MT.
The ProFarmer Crop Tour’s second day in Nebraska reveals soybean pod counts at 1,348.31, 15% higher than last year and 19.1% above the 3-year average. In Indiana, pod counts are down 2.31% from the previous year at 1,376.59, which is 6.3% higher than the 3-year average.
Soybean prices on Sep 25: $10.17 1/4, up 4 1/4 cents. Nearby cash at $9.71 1/4, up 4 cents. Nov 25 soybeans at $10.38 1/2, up 4 3/4 cents. Jan 26 soybeans at $10.58, up 4 3/4 cents. New crop cash at $9.62 1/2, up 4 1/4 cents.
