Soybean futures closed with 6 to 8 cent losses, but eased off Tuesday lows. Cash bean price dropped 7 3/4 cents to $9.67. Soymeal futures gained 60 cents to $7.00, while Soy Oil futures were down 98 to 159 points.

USDA reported a private export sale of 228,606 MT of soybeans to Mexico, all for 2025/26. Crop Progress data showed 82% of the US bean crop setting pods by Sunday, with conditions at 68% gd/ex.

ProFarmer Crop Tour began in Ohio and South Dakota, showing pod counts above last year and 3-year averages. ANEC estimates Brazilian soybean export total at 8.9 MMT for August, slightly up from last week’s numbers.

Soybean prices closed at $10.13 for Sep 25, down 7 3/4 cents. Cash was $9.67 1/1, down 7 3/4 cents. Nov 25 Soybeans closed at $10.33 3/4, down 7 1/2 cents. Jan 26 Soybeans closed at $10.53 1/4, down 6 3/4 cents. New Crop Cash was $9.58 1/1, down 7 3/4 cents.
