Starbucks plans to provide a 2% raise to all salaried employees in North America as part of CEO Brian Niccol’s cost-cutting efforts. The raise will apply to corporate staff, manufacturing and distribution workers, and store managers, according to Bloomberg News. The company is focusing on reducing service wait times and creating a coffeehouse environment. Starbucks is currently in contract negotiations with unionized baristas, who recently rejected a proposal for guaranteed annual raises of 2%.
