The Nasdaq fell 0.2% despite 55% of its stocks trading higher. The S&P 500 was down 0.1%, with half of its stocks rising and half falling. The Dow was flat, with 15 of its 30 stocks rising. Five S&P 500 sectors were up, led by industrials, health care, consumer staples, and consumer discretionary.

Tech, materials, utilities, and energy were down 0.3% while real estate and communication services dropped 0.6% and 1% respectively. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 experienced mixed trading, while the Dow remained flat. Five S&P 500 sectors saw gains, with industrials, health care, consumer staples, and consumer discretionary leading the way.
