Infrastructure investment firm Stonepeak has acquired two logistics properties in Fort Worth, Texas, totaling 748,000 square feet near a cargo airport and railroads. Stonepeak sees growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with its population projected to triple the national average by 2030. The firm has acquired 7.7 million square feet of logistics space since April 2024, including in major freight corridors like Dallas and Houston.

Stonepeak highlights the critical role of real estate adjacent to transport infrastructure in supply chains. The logistics industry has become the most active buyer group of industrial space, with 3PLs occupying more 1-million-square-foot-plus properties than any other vertical. Stonepeak has $76 billion in assets under management and recently closed a $3.1 billion acquisition of Air Transport Services Group and acquired energy transportation provider Dupre Logistics.

Eastdil Secured served as financial adviser to Stonepeak on the Fort Worth property acquisitions. Stonepeak’s strategic acquisitions align with the increasing demand for logistics space and the growth in transportation infrastructure.
