Ulta Beauty will close mini-stores in Target locations by next year, ending partnership in August 2026. Target has faced declining demand and sales, as well as issues related to diversity and inclusion practices. Shares of both companies dropped after announcement, despite beauty segment sales increasing by 5% in 2024. Target operates nearly 2,000 stores nationwide, while Ulta Beauty has over 1,400 stores in all 50 states. Customers can still purchase Ulta products from Target until 2026.
