WeRide and Shenzhen Bus Group have launched Shenzhen’s first Level 4 autonomous Robobus line, the B888, in Luohu District. The line covers 6.6 km outbound and 4.3 km return, taking 30-35 minutes per ride, passing major landmarks in the CBD. The Robobus is equipped with over 20 sensors, including LiDAR and HD cameras, providing 360-degree perception up to 200 meters. It can predict movements of vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, navigating smoothly even at complex intersections. The B888 Line is part of Shenzhen’s intelligent connected vehicle development plan, showcasing the city’s commitment to smart, green, and innovative transport.
