WeRide has received approval to conduct late-night testing of its Robotaxi in Beijing from 10pm to 7am. The testing will take place in the Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone, addressing challenges like low lighting and adverse weather conditions. WeRide’s Robotaxi is equipped with over 20 sensors and a multi-sensor fusion algorithm, ensuring safe night-time operations. This milestone marks a crucial step towards building a 24/7 autonomous ride-hailing network in Beijing.
