In the final stage of the Ripple vs. SEC case, XRP spot ETFs are back in play, with major issuers updating their filings on Aug. 22. The SEC has yet to approve spot XRP ETFs, despite allowing Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs months ago. Currently, the only XRP ETFs in the U.S. are derivative products. The legal saga concluded with Ripple and SEC filing joint stipulation of dismissal, leading to a brief XRP rally to $3.10 before falling to $3.01. XRP remains the third-largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of approximately $180 billion, still below its all-time high of $3.84 in 2018.
