Yum Brands’ CFO Chris Turner appointed to the board of directors, will become CEO on Oct. 1. He succeeds David Gibbs, who will remain as an executive advisor. Turner has been with Yum since 2019, overseeing finance, corporate strategy, and more for over 61,000 restaurants globally.
Turner previously led PepsiCo’s retail and e-commerce business and spent 13 years at McKinsey & Co. Gibbs announced retirement after 37 years with Yum, including the last five as CEO. Turner’s appointment aims to drive Yum’s growth and success as he takes on the CEO role.
