Barrick Mining Corporation has reached an agreement to sell the Hemlo Gold Mine in Canada to Carcetti Capital Corp. for up to $1.09 billion. The sale includes $875 million in cash, $50 million in HMC shares, and a potential $165 million in gold price-linked payments. HMC plans to graduate to the TSXV and has experienced management, including Robert Quartermain. The sale will strengthen Barrick’s balance sheet and support shareholder returns. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025. Barrick remains committed to finding and operating top-tier gold and copper mines in Canada.
