Major digital coins Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin experienced sharp declines, with liquidations nearing $1 billion in a 24-hour period. Bitcoin dropped almost 4% to under $109,700, while Ethereum fell 7.5% to $3,879. Dogecoin plummeted by nearly 9% to around $0.23. Solana also saw a 9% decrease to $196, with both SOL and DOGE down 21% in the past week.

The cryptocurrency market downturn coincided with a drop in the stock market, as the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow Jones Industrial Average all lost value. CoinGlass data revealed over $930 million in traders’ positions were liquidated, with the majority being long positions totaling over $860 million. The situation is evolving, and updates will follow.
