BlackRock is opening an office in Kuwait, appointing Ali AlQadhi to lead operations. AlQadhi currently heads BlackRock’s client business for Kuwait and Qatar. Kuwait’s Capital Markets Authority granted an investment adviser license to BlackRock Advisors (UK) Ltd. The Kuwait office will have teams in customer service, financial advisory, and Aladdin technology. BlackRock has expanded in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Doha, with partnerships in fund management, infrastructure, and advisory.
