Blockchain lender Figure Technologies aims for a $4.13 billion valuation in its IPO, riding the wave of investor interest in new listings. Institutional adoption of digital assets has surged due to regulatory clarity and successful debuts by crypto firms like Bullish and Circle. Figure plans to raise up to $526.3 million by selling 26.3 million shares. Co-founded by Mike Cagney in 2018, Figure operates a blockchain platform for lending, trading, and investing in consumer credit and digital assets, boasting faster funding times for home equity loans. The company reported a profit of $29 million in the first half of 2021, a turnaround from a $13 million loss a year earlier. Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, and BofA Securities are the lead underwriters, with Figure set to list on the Nasdaq under the symbol “FIGR”.
