Goldman Sachs will host its annual technology, media and communications conference at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. CEO’s, investors, and analysts will gather to discuss the potential for 2025 to be a record year for deals in the tech sector. Recent transactions have already propelled the value of technology deals to levels not seen since 2021.
The conference will feature presentations from companies like Meta Platforms Inc., Salesforce Inc., and Nvidia Corp., highlighting recent major deals and upcoming priorities. Transactions in the sector this year, including communications and media, have already reached a combined value of $822 billion, with AI driving big-ticket M&A activity.
Deal makers predict that the artificial intelligence arms race will continue to fuel large transactions in the tech sector. Barclays Plc’s top M&A banker forecasts the possibility of a $100 billion plus deal in the AI space within the next year. Goldman Sachs also anticipates a record year for global M&A in 2026, with deal flows potentially reaching $3.9 trillion.
