Corn futures closed Friday with contracts mixed within a penny of unchanged, with December weaker overall this week. The national average Cash Corn price was up ¼ cent at $3.80 1/2. The USDA reported a private export sale of 206,460 MT of 2025/26 corn to unknown destinations. The CFTC Commitment of Traders release showed a decrease in spec fund net short position and an increase in commercials net short position. Taiwan has committed to buying $10 billion of US ag goods over the next 4 years, including corn, soybeans, wheat, and beef. Total corn commitments are up 68% from last year, reaching 23.833 MMT. Corn futures closed with minimal changes.
