Corn futures closed with losses of 1 to 2 cents on Tuesday, giving back some of Monday’s gains. The national average Cash Corn price dropped 2 cents to $3.75. NASS reported the US corn harvest progress at 4% complete, with condition ratings down 1% to 68% gd/ex. USDA will release their Crop Production report on Friday, with analysts expecting a 2.6 bpa reduction to yield. ANEC estimates Brazilian corn exports in September at 6.96 MMT, up 0.59 MMT from last week. Corn prices closed lower on Sep 25, with Dec 25 Corn at $4.19 3/4, down 2 cents, and Mar 26 Corn at $4.37 1/2, down 2 cents. New Crop Cash was $3.75 1/1, down 2 cents.
