Canyon Resources has reported a 33% increase in DSO grade Ore Reserves at the Minim Martap bauxite project in Cameroon, with 144Mt of ore at 51.2% Al2O3 and 1.7% SiO2 over a 20-year mine life. Production is set to begin in Q1 2026, with a staged development strategy to reduce initial capital costs. The project has a pre-tax NPV of US$835M and an IRR of 29%. Canyon has acquired a 9.1% stake in Camrail, the rail operator, to support the project’s development, with first equipment deliveries scheduled for Q1 2026.
