The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts introduced a Mediation Service Centre and a Notary Service after the enactment of Dubai Law No. (2) in March 2025. The Mediation Service Centre offers an alternative dispute resolution pathway with registered mediators, while the Notary Service administers legal documents exclusively in English.

Parties can pre-agree on mediators’ fees and terms, with the flexibility to conduct mediation in-person or online. The Notary Service offers automated self-service, live virtual, and in-person options, with document authentication via DataFlow’s primary source verification. Documents are secured using Hedera Blockchain’s technology and user privacy is protected.

DIFC Courts Chief Justice Wayne Martin highlighted the advanced court and legal services provided in cooperation with Dubai’s leadership and partners. The new services aim to widen access to justice and provide efficient solutions for businesses and individuals. Established in 2004, DIFC Courts offer an English language common law judicial system in Dubai.
