Investors shifted money from Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs to altcoin exposure funds last week, according to a report on global crypto ETF investments. CoinShares data shows $291 million went into SOL and $93 million into XRP funds, offsetting $812 million in total outflows from digital asset investment funds.
Analyzing the data, analysts explained that profit-taking and portfolio rebalancing led to Bitcoin ETF outflows but the crypto markets still have potential. Outflows were attributed to expectations of U.S. interest rate cuts moderating due to stronger macroeconomic data, including revised GDP and durable goods figures.
SOL, trading at $210 per coin, saw a 3% increase in the past day but a 5% decline over seven days. XRP was priced at $2.90, up 3% for the day. SOL is used for transactions on Solana, a blockchain for decentralized applications, while XRP is Ripple’s digital coin for cross-border money transfers. Rex Shares and Osprey Funds recently launched XRP and Dogecoin ETFs, garnering significant initial demand.
