The US SEC is expected to decide on 16 crypto ETFs in October, including those for Solana, XRP, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. Deadlines range from Oct. 2 to Oct. 24. Analysts predict potential altcoin rally if approved, with SEC likely to approve most ETFs before the final deadline.

ETF analyst Nate Geraci anticipates a significant period for spot crypto ETFs, with several decisions due in the coming weeks. Crypto trader Daan Crypto Trades notes the absence of major players Fidelity and BlackRock from the list of pending approvals. Analyst James Seyffart previously gave high odds for approvals in 2025.

The SEC has delayed decisions on multiple crypto ETFs but has also streamlined the approval process. A new listing standard for commodity-based trust shares could pave the way for more spot crypto ETF launches. Fellow analyst Eric Balchunas suggests a wave of new ETFs could be on the horizon, with Hashdex already expanding its offerings to include XRP, Solana, and Stellar.
