Gemini Space Station, the cryptocurrency exchange founded by the Winklevoss twins, soared in its Nasdaq debut after raising $425 million in an IPO. The stock opened at $37.01, a 32% premium to the offer price, reaching as high as $45.89 before closing at $32, 14% above the IPO level.
Gemini, based in New York, offers various crypto services including a spot exchange, custody solutions, stablecoin, credit card, and staking products. The company held over $21 billion in assets as of July, despite losses of $159 million in 2024 and $283 million in the first half of 2025.
The Winklevoss brothers, early bitcoin investors, foresee bitcoin hitting $1 million in the next decade. Gemini’s IPO follows those of Coinbase in April 2021 and Bullish, owner of CoinDesk, last month.
