Apollo Hospitals Enterprise in India is acquiring International Finance Corporation’s 31% stake in its retail healthcare subsidiary, Apollo Health and Lifestyle, for $142m. This move will make AHLL a wholly owned subsidiary of AHEL pending regulatory approval. Post-acquisition, Apollo will hold a 99.42% share in AHLL, with the remaining 0.58% under an employee stock option pool. Apollo Health and Lifestyle reported a turnover of Rs15.53bn in FY24/25 and offers various healthcare services. Apollo also announced a new Rs5.73bn investment in a 100-bed oncology center with proton therapy in Gurugram to expand its oncology business.
