In the next five years, 20% of wealth and asset managers are predicted to be acquired. This week, Elevation Point launched Loxahatchee Capital with $1.4 billion AUM, while OpenArc formed from a Merrill Lynch liftout managing $129 billion. MAI Capital acquired J.W. Coons Advisors with $612 million AUM, retaining its team.

Co-founders Mandy Dollar and Jennifer Wallis chose Osaic for their new firm with $379 million AUM. Dollar was with MidFirst Bank, and Wallis with Retirement Investment Advisors. They focus on ethical, inclusive wealth management, empowering clients beyond investment management.

MAI Capital, in the midst of a mega-merger, acquired a smaller firm with $612 million AUM. J.W. Coons Advisors, led by Robert Hoffman and Keith Blankemeyer, will retain its team under the MAI brand. The deal nearly doubles MAI’s client assets to $60 billion.
