Nikola Corporation, the zero-emission truck developer, has agreed to an $83 million settlement with the SEC as part of its liquidation plan. The settlement includes a $43 million unsecured claim and a $40 million junior claim split with federal regulators. The company is facing multiple legal challenges, including a securities class-action lawsuit and derivative actions. Nikola’s bankruptcy earlier this year was due to financial strain and supply chain issues. After a reverse stock split in June 2024 and delisting in February 2025, Nikola’s stock now trades on the Pink Market under the symbol NKLAQ with reported debt of $97.7 million.
