US energy-drinks firm Nutrabolt has made another investment in Bloom Nutrition, the supplements and active-nutrition business, with a significant new investment in the California company. Nutrabolt has now invested over $200m in Bloom Nutrition, after spending $90m for around 20% of the company last year.
Bloom Nutrition recently added Bloom Pop, a range of prebiotic sodas, and Bloom Sparkling Energy, an energy-drinks line, to its offerings. Nutrabolt plans to continue working closely with the founders and management team to drive the brand’s growth and strategic vision.
Nutrabolt, known for brands like C4 energy drinks and Xtend dietary supplements, has invested over $200m in Bloom Nutrition. Keurig Dr Pepper previously invested $863m for a 30% stake in Nutrabolt, resulting in a strategic partnership for distribution of C4 energy drinks.
Keurig Dr Pepper recently struck a deal to acquire Dutch coffee company JDE Peet’s for €15.7bn ($18.36bn) and split the combined business into two. The new companies, Global Coffee Co. and Beverage Co., are expected to become major players in the coffee and refreshment beverage markets.
