Nvidia, a major player in AI, has seen its stock soar as demand for its chips increased. The company’s support of CoreWeave led to a tripled stock price since going public. Now, Nvidia is investing in Nscale, a British AI data center firm.

Nscale raised $1.1 billion in a Series B round, the largest in UK and European history, with backing from Aker, Nvidia, Nokia, and Dell. Aker holds a 9.3% stake in Nscale, with potential to increase. The funding will expand AI infrastructure across regions.

Nscale, a privately held company spun out from Arkon Energy, plans to invest $1 billion in Norway and expand to the U.K. The company aims to deploy large-scale AI infrastructure and build data centers in collaboration with OpenAI for the Stargate project.
