Perpetua Resources has received conditional clearance from the US Forest Service to start developing its Stibnite Gold Project in Idaho, pending financial assurance bonding. State and federal agencies have agreed on a joint financial assurance package for the construction period. The project aims to produce antimony for US defense systems and address environmental damage at the site. Perpetua Resources has invested over $400m and undergone extensive environmental reviews since starting the permitting process in 2016.
