A court has temporarily banned Radico Khaitan from selling its Kashmyr vodka due to a trademark dispute with Piccadily Agro Industries. Piccadily Agro claims Radico Khaitan’s use of the Kashmyr mark is similar to its Cashmere and Cashmir trademarks. The court granted an interim injunction, restraining Radico Khaitan from selling products under the Kashmyr brand. Radico Khaitan launched Kashmyr vodka in July, causing confusion with Piccadily Agro’s Cashmir vodka. Radico Khaitan is confident in the legal process and has filed a petition in the High Court. The outcome of the lawsuit is pending.
