The China stock market stopped its three-day slide on Friday, with the Shanghai Composite Index closing just above 3,810 points. However, concerns about the American economy are expected to lead to a downturn on Monday. The SCI saw gains from property and resource stocks, while financials and oil companies were soft. The index rose 1.24 percent to finish at 3,812.51. In the U.S., major averages closed in the red on Friday, with the Dow down 0.48 percent, the NASDAQ falling 0.03 percent, and the S&P 500 sinking 0.32 percent. Traders reacted to weaker than expected U.S. job growth in August, leading to concerns about the economy. Crude oil prices dropped on oversupply concerns ahead of OPEC’s meeting.
