Investors awaited RBI policy outcome and prepared for possible U.S. government shutdown. BSE Sensex ended down 0.12% while NSE Nifty closed 23.80 points lower. Market breadth was slightly positive on BSE. Titan Company, Bajaj FinServ, Trent, Bharti Airtel, and ITC fell around 1%, while Tata Motors, Adani Ports, and UltraTech Cement rose over 1%.
