Siemens Energy is investing €220m in expanding its transformer facility in Nuremberg, Germany, creating 350 new jobs and increasing production capacity by 50%. The Bavarian government is contributing €20m in technology funding. The project is expected to be completed by 2028, supporting energy infrastructure globally.

The Nuremberg plant’s transformers are crucial for connecting voltage levels, transmitting electricity over long distances, and supporting energy projects worldwide. Siemens Energy has previously invested €90m in a new converter production facility at the same location. The company has invested around €1bn in Germany over the past three years, creating new jobs and supporting the energy transition.
