BW Offshore has signed a Head of Agreement with Equinor for the Bay du Nord FPSO project in Canada. The project, operated by Equinor in partnership with BP, holds an estimated 400 million barrels of recoverable light crude. The FPSO will be tailored for the sub-Arctic environment, supporting production of up to 160,000 barrels of oil per day. The agreement includes further discussions on technical and commercial aspects, with plans for FEED work to begin in early 2026. BW Offshore will establish a local office in Newfoundland to support the project, aligning with their strategy to deliver high-performance offshore solutions for the future of energy.
