Soybeans gained 12 to 13 cents on Friday, with November up 19 ¼ cents for the week. Cash bean prices rose 13 cents to $9.70 1/4. Soymeal futures increased 60 cents to $1.50, with soy oil futures up 49 to 59 points. CME reported more September soybean meal and oil deliveries with futures expiring today.

USDA announced a private export sale of 22,000 MT of soybean oil to South Korea for 2025/26 shipment.

CFTC’s Commitment of Traders report showed managed money shifting to a net short position of 14,714 contracts. This was a significant move of 26,678 contracts to the short side.

The monthly Crop Production report revealed a slight decrease in US yield to 53.5 bpa, with acres planted and harvested both up by 0.21 million. Production increased by 8 mbu to 4.3 bbu, while old crop ending stocks were pegged at 330 mbu.

World soybean stocks decreased by 1.61 MMT to 123.58 MMT, mainly due to lower old crop Argentina stocks. New crop world bean carryout also declined by 0.91 MMT to 123.99 MMT.

NOPA data, set to release Monday, will show August crush among members at 182.857 mbu.

Soybean prices closed at $10.25 3/4 on Sep 25, with cash at $9.70 1/4. November 25 soybeans closed at $10.46 1/4, while January 26 soybeans closed at $10.65 1/4. New crop cash also rose to $9.70 1/4.
