French auto components manufacturer Valeo SA has partnered with Chinese autonomous driving technology firm Momenta to develop advanced intelligent assisted driving and autonomous driving products globally. The companies aim to provide full lifecycle support to customers and accelerate the transition to real-world deployment with global vehicle manufacturers.

Valeo’s CEO stated that China leads the ADAS market, and Momenta is a leader in automated driving. The partnership aims to enable affordable, smarter, safer, and more sustainable mobility by combining Valeo’s expertise with Momenta’s specialized knowledge. They plan to enhance the performance and market competitiveness of ADAS products worldwide.

Valeo claims one in three new passenger vehicles worldwide is equipped with its ADAS technologies. They offer a comprehensive portfolio of sensors, controllers, and software for various levels of autonomous driving. Momenta, on the other hand, has achieved mass-production deployment of its reinforcement learning-based model and is rapidly scaling up mass production of assisted driving systems.

Leading global automakers have committed to over 160 vehicle programs with Momenta, with 40 models already available on the market. The company has more than 400,000 vehicles equipped with its intelligent driving systems and continues to scale up production. The strategic partnership between Valeo and Momenta aims to redefine intelligent mobility and drive the development of autonomous driving technology worldwide.
