WeRide, in partnership with Grab, will deploy GXRs and Robobus vehicles in Singapore for the Ai.R autonomous vehicle service. The vehicles have passed Singapore’s Milestone 1 assessment and will operate on two designated routes in Punggol. Grab is training private-hire and taxi drivers as autonomous vehicle Safety Operators for the service. Ai.R vehicles will begin route familiarization this week and aim to serve passengers by early 2026, offering safe, autonomous rides to key amenities in Punggol. The vehicles use advanced cameras and LiDARs for safe navigation on Singapore roads, adhering to traffic laws and ensuring passenger safety.
