GameStop’s stock (NYSE: GME) saw a 3% increase after reporting a 22% rise in net sales to over $972 million in the second quarter, with GAAP net income jumping to over $138 million. The company’s cash and securities also doubled to $8.7 billion. GameStop also announced a special dividend in the form of warrants to buy its stock, with shareholders receiving one warrant for every ten shares held. Investors of record as of Oct. 3 will be eligible for the dividend, with warrants distributed on Oct. 7.
