Chinese electric vehicle maker XPeng showcased its AI-powered vehicles, robotics, and flying cars at IAA Mobility 2025, revealing the European debut of the Next P7 sports sedan and the launch of its first European R&D center in Munich, aiming to deepen ties with European users and drive local innovation.
Vice Chairman Brian Gu stated XPeng serves users in over 46 markets and is the sixth-largest global EV maker. XPeng’s stock surged 68% year-to-date with increased vehicle deliveries, expanding profit margins, strong second-quarter earnings, and promising third-quarter delivery forecasts indicating substantial year-over-year growth.
XPeng’s expanded collaboration with Volkswagen Group and a positive outlook on the Chinese EV market have boosted investor confidence. XPeng’s strategy focuses on Europe, leading mid-to-high-end BEV sales among Chinese brands and showcasing a self-developed AI architecture integrating cloud, computing power, and hardware for various applications like smart driving systems and humanoid robots.
XPeng aims to mass-produce L4 autonomous vehicles by 2026 and introduce its NGP smart driving system globally by late 2026. The company’s lineup at IAA Mobility included five models and showcased a record-setting performance by the Next P7 covering 3,961 km in 24 hours. Additionally, XPeng AEROHT unveiled its modular flying car, the Land Aircraft Carrier, with plans for mass production in 2026.
XPeng also introduced its humanoid robot, IRON, with a next-generation version set to launch later this year. XPeng’s innovative technology and expansion plans have attracted significant market attention, with XPEV stock trading 2.87% higher at $20.40 premarket, reflecting positive investor sentiment towards the company’s growth trajectory and advancements in mobility solutions.
