Binance Research notes that DeFi lending protocols are well-positioned for institutional participation. Maple Finance’s TVL surged to $2.78 billion from $296.9 million at the start of 2025.

Maple Finance rebounded in 2025 after facing challenges in 2022 due to the collapse of FTX-Alameda. The company expanded its syrupUSD stablecoin to the Solana blockchain with $30 million in liquidity. Aave announced its V4 upgrade plans for late 2025, aiming to introduce new features like shared liquidity and improved risk controls.
