OpenAI cofounder Andrej Karpathy stated that AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) is still a decade away. He mentioned that current AI agents are “sloppy,” lacking real understanding. Despite progress, AGI is not close. Karpathy stressed the need for more capable AI systems to achieve true intelligence.
