Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) aims to attract established players on Amazon to its global e-commerce platform, AliExpress. The company is focusing on expanding its footprint in major markets by offering lower shipping fees and taking lower cuts of sales compared to Amazon. Alibaba also plans to attract brands present on its domestic e-commerce platform, T-Mall. Citi analyst Alicia Yap raised the price target on BABA following its annual event, the Apsara Conference, citing higher cloud revenue and capex assumptions. Alibaba operates through seven segments, including Cloud, China Commerce, and International Commerce.
