AstraZeneca has struck a deal with the Trump administration to offer discounted prescription medicines to American patients with chronic conditions. These medicines will be available through the TrumpRx.gov platform at up to 80% off list prices. The company has also secured a three-year delay on Section 232 tariffs, allowing for the onshoring of its manufacturing operations in the U.S. AstraZeneca plans to invest $50 billion in U.S. manufacturing and R&D over the next five years. This agreement follows a similar deal with Pfizer Inc. Terms of the agreement are confidential.
