BP’s Whiting, Indiana refinery resumed operations after a temporary outage and evacuation. The disruption was caused by an electrical service disruption outside the facility. The facility, the largest in the U.S. Midwest, produces gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. The restart process details were not provided by a spokesperson. In mid-September, the refinery began planned maintenance work on its units, including the fluid catalytic cracker.
