The Canadian market is up due to strong gains in the technology sector, with a few stocks in financial and communications sectors also rising. Prospects of monetary easing by the Federal Reserve are boosting the mood, after U.S. consumer price inflation rose less than expected in September. The S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 0.57% at 30,359.73. U.S. consumer price index rose by 0.3% in September, slower than expected. Canadian house price index decreased by 0.2%. IT Capped Index is up 3%, with Bitfarms up nearly 10% and other tech stocks also showing gains. Financial stocks like Goeasy, Brookfield, and Manulife are up 1.5 to 2.7%.
