Client assets reached $11.23 trillion, a 15% increase year-over-year, with 382,000 new brokerage accounts. Margin loan balances rose 6% to $90.4 billion, with daily trades consistently above 7 million.

Transactional sweep cash at Charles Schwab stood at $406.7 billion in August, with ETFs seeing $23 billion in net inflows while mutual funds lost $2.2 billion. Client cash remained at 9.5% of assets, consistent with the prior year. Derivatives represented 22.5% of trading volume, 170 basis points higher than a year ago.
