A trader turned $3,000 into $2 million by investing in the “4” memecoin after CZ mentioned it on X. The trader still holds $1.88 million worth of the tokens despite selling some. Smart money traders also bought the memecoin, with one portfolio earning $1.8 million in unrealized profit.
Interest in the “4” memecoin spiked after CZ reposted about the BNB Chain phishing incident. A wallet purchased the token before CZ’s post and saw over $1.5 million in gains within hours. The official BNB Chain X account was hacked, leading to phishing links being shared to promote the memecoin.
Previously, traders made millions from memecoins, like one turning $2,000 into $43 million with Pepe. Another turned $27 into $52 million. The “4” token was created after a hacker made $4,000 from a phishing attack. Despite their lack of utility, memecoins continue to draw interest from traders and investors.
