Ray-Ban maker EssilorLuxottica announced record third-quarter sales and plans to increase production for smart glasses. Quarterly revenue rose 11.7% to 6.9 billion euros, exceeding forecasts. Sales in North America grew by 12.1%. The company raised U.S. prices due to tariffs but noted it wasn’t the main growth driver. Plans to build 10 million units of smart glasses annually will be expedited to meet high demand. The second-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses have been successful, with a flagship model priced at $799. Rollout to more countries is planned for early 2026.
