FedEx Corp. has completed its leadership team for the upcoming spinoff of its less-than-truckload unit, naming Marshall Witt as CFO. Witt, who led a previous spinoff and brings financial experience from FedEx, will help guide the transition for profitable growth.
Witt, who served as CFO at TD SYNNEX for 12 years, will also join FedEx Freight as a senior vice president on Oct. 15. His expertise in capital allocation and M&A will contribute to unlocking value for the company.
FedEx Freight’s new president and CEO, John Smith, expressed confidence in Witt and the leadership team to drive the company’s strategy forward. Key roles have been filled, including chairman Brad Martin, CTO Mike Rodgers, and CHRO/legal officer Eddie Klank.
Other key leadership positions have been filled by FedEx Freight veterans Mike Lyons and Clint McCoy, as chief specialized services and commercial officer, and chief operating officer, respectively. Witt looks forward to collaborating with the team to create value for shareholders through the spinoff.
