Firefly Aerospace has acquired SciTec, Inc. for $855 million, combining cash and shares. The acquisition enhances Firefly’s defense capabilities with SciTec’s software and data processing expertise. SciTec generated $164 million in revenue in the past year, receiving a $259 million contract from the U.S. Space Force. The deal is expected to close by year end 2025. The acquisition will operate SciTec as a Firefly subsidiary, maintaining its current business model. Firefly is holding a conference call on October 5 to discuss the transaction. Goldmans Sachs and Baird are serving as financial advisors for Firefly and SciTec, respectively.
