General Motors and its joint ventures in China saw a 10.1% increase in vehicle deliveries in the third quarter, totaling nearly 470,000. Sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) were a key driver, with both NEVs and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) showing growth for 10 consecutive quarters. Buick introduced its first model under the ELECTRA sub-brand, the L7, which has been well received. Moving forward, all newly introduced Buick models in China will be NEVs. In the US, GM reported an 8% increase in third-quarter vehicle sales, setting a quarterly EV sales record with 66,501 deliveries. US EV sales industry-wide continue to grow, with GM’s US EV sales up 105% year to date. GM’s senior vice president and president of GM China, Steve Hill, highlighted the company’s progress and commitment to enhancing product value and customer experience.
